Hoge acceptatie door mijn katten, goed alternatief voor Flexadin
First of all, I had my doubts about this product because it looks so tablet/pill-like, and when it comes to cats, it really depends on how picky they are. Still, I wanted to try this as an alternative to the much more expensive Flexadin (and in terms of ingredients comparable, in fact: Seraquin has a higher dosage of glucosamine HCL (500 mg instead of 125 mg per tablet) and a higher dosage of chondroitin (380 mg instead of 100 mg per tablet). Worth trying, and what turns out is that my cats are absolutely wild about it! That presents a small “disadvantage” for us, as we only have one out of three cats that needs to take Seraquin because he has spondylosis. For the other two cats, it is of course also a healthy treat that can certainly do no harm in their old age, but the tablets are just a bit too expensive for them 🙂 With Flexadin it was easier, as the cat with spondylosis is the only one who likes those tablets and the others have no interest. With Seraquin, they eat the tablets so greedily that the whole package could be consumed in one go, haha. So it’s a success!
Eaten like a sweet by a usually troublesome cat.
My cat always keeps an eye on medication, supplements, etc., and refuses to eat them. But he seems to consider Seraquin as a treat and eats it with pleasure. I give it to him in the place where he normally received his treat. He has periods where he needs more in a day and periods when he jumps more easily and goes through the cat flap. So I adjust how much he gets. It works well. It might be expensive, but it is certainly effective.
Nickel product
Product perfectly matching what the vet had given to my cat, impeccable packaging as it is sold in pharmacies in boxes of 200 at an exorbitant price. I am delighted!
