This year the processionary caterpillar, the oak processionary caterpillar, is again active in our environment. Especially in May, June and July these caterpillars are active in the oak trees. The fire hairs of these processionary caterpillars cause health problems when inhaled or touched. If you are exposed to these hairs, after 4 to 8 hours skin complaints can occur such as itching, bumps or blisters, red skin and spots and a burning pain/irritation.
This gel has been developed in collaboration with pharmacists to care for the red and irritated skin by the fire hairs of the processionary caterpillar. This processionary caterpillar gel is a unique blend of ingredients to care for and soften the irritated skin by the fire hairs of the processionary caterpillar.

Symptoms:
The following symptoms can be caused by the fire hairs of the processionary caterpillar: skin complaints such as itching, bumps or blisters, red skin and spots and a burning pain/irritation. Further symptoms that can occur: a runny nose, itchy or irritated throat, coughing and sometimes difficulty swallowing or shortness of breath. Eye complaints such as irritation, redness and swelling may also occur. The complaints differ per person.

Application:
This gel has been specially developed for irritation by burning hairs of the oak processionary caterpillar. In addition, it is suitable for the care of the skin in insects and jellyfish bites. This gel works quickly and soothes red and irritated skin.
1.    Try to remove the stinging hairs from your skin, use adhesive or tape.
2.    Rinse the spots on the skin thoroughly with lukewarm water. You could also do this as a precaution if you have been in an area with oak trees.
3.    Wash the clothes at least at 60 degrees
4.    Try not to scratch or rub when it itches. This will prevent the spread of the stinging hairs
5.    Lubricate the processierupsgel to care for and soften red and irritated skin. Repeat if desired
6.    Always consult your general practitioner in case of serious complaints, swelling and/or shortness of breath.
