Tinley behavior therapy CD

The Tinley behaviour therapy CD with sounds of fireworks (and thunder) is a suitable tool to teach pets to get used to the sounds of fireworks (and thunder). Since fireworks anxiety can be very strong, it is important to start with the therapy about 6 weeks before new year's Eve. You will get your pet used to the sounds of the CD with small steps. You start with the volume of the CD softly, so soft that the animal does not responds to the sound with anxious behaviour. Reward your animal (with food, toy, or attention) for its "good" behaviour. After this, you play the CD each step a little bit louder while you keep rewarding your pet if it shows no anxious behaviour. Should your animal at a certain intensity starts showing anxious behaviour, then you should take a step back. In other words, turn down the volume of the CD again and start rewarding again if the animal shows no signs of anxiety. In this way your animal gets used to the sound slowly and it learns to associate this sound with something pleasant.
