Tumil-K powder 113 grams
Tumil-K is a compementary diet food for cats, which is rich in potassium. Tumil-K potassium powder supports kidney and muscle function, in cats with low potassium levels in the blood (hypokalemia). Low potassium levels can occur in cats with chronic renal failure, liver disease or chronic gastrointestinal problems. Also hyperaldosteronism, a disease of the adrenal glands, is known for causing low potassium blood levels. Hypokalemia manifests in symptoms like loss of appetite, sluggishness, general weakness, weak muscles and in some cases even paralysis. Tumil-K is available over the counter, but it is advised to only give Tumil-K in consultation with your vet.
Dosage and administration of Tumil-K powder
Tumil-K powder contains a tasty liver aroma, making the product easy to mix with the food of your cat. You should mix teaspoon (0.65 grams) of the powder into your cat's food twice a day. The dose can be changed in consultation with your veterinarian if it appears that blood potassium levels have not yet improved sufficiently. In addition, it is recommended to provide your cat with sufficient drinking water for a good absorption of the product. The product should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place and out of sight and reach of children.
Extra information about Tumil-K
If your cat has high potassium levels, Tumil-K powder cannot be used. In addition, you should be careful with the powder if your cat is receiving digoxin (a heart medicine). If in doubt whether Tumil-K is suitable for your cat, we recommend you to contact your veterinarian for professional advice.
