VT Phak syrup is an additional diet supplement based on nutrients and amino acids for the eye lens for the older dog. Also used for skinnt and convalescing dogs and fatigue after intense and prolonged physical exertion (hunting and sporting dogs). VT Phak syrup provides the lens with amino acids such as glycine and glutamate, which is used for the formation of glutathione. The decrease in glutathione in the aging process of the animal is responsible for the progressive clouding of the eye lens. Inositol is an important substance in the build-up of cells, and its concentration is highest in the eye lens. It stimulates the metabolism and transport of the amino acids. Glycerol is an important component in the Krebs cycle as a major energy source. The presence of FOS (fructo-oligo-saccharides), a non-diabetogenic sugar source, strengthens the natural defenses of the animal by its bifidogenic effect; it increases the concentration of the naturally occurring lactobacilli and bifidus bacilli in the intestine. This will also restore the intestinal flora of the older dog.
