Maintenance food for dogs
The basis of health is good nutrition in the form of maintenance food for dogs of all ages. Good nutrition starts from puppyhood, which is why Trovet Puppy CPF was developed: with this puppy food, your puppy grows up healthy and steadily. For adult dogs, there is Trovet Adult MXF. This complete dog food is made with high-quality ingredients and provides all the nutrients your dog needs daily. Also available is Trovet Balance VMS, designed to complete home-prepared meals.
Diet food for dogs
Trovet offers an extensive range of diet foods for dogs with specific sensitivities:
- Trovet Urinary Struvite ASD helps prevent struvite stone formation by lowering the acidity of the urine combined with a low magnesium content.
- Food intolerance: Trovet has a very wide range of hypoallergenic dog foods with a single protein source, such as lamb (LRD), horse (HPD), rabbit (RRD) and insect (IPD). For dogs allergic to animal proteins, there is Trovet Exclusion NVD: a completely plant-based food. To diagnose food intolerance, the veterinarian will recommend an elimination diet of 6–8 weeks. The Trovet Unique Protein pure meat foods are ideal for this. NB: these are NOT complete foods and are therefore not suitable to be fed as the sole diet in the long term!
- Overweight or diabetes: Trovet Weight & Diabetic WRD supports weight loss and helps keep blood sugar levels balanced.
- Joints and mobility: Trovet Mobility & Geriatrics MGD contains ingredients such as devil’s claw, boswellia, glucosamine, chondroitin, and fish oil to support the musculoskeletal system. Also available as a dietary supplement: Mobility MJS.
- There are also diet foods to support, among other things, the kidneys, stomach and intestines or the liver.
Snacks for dogs
Even dogs on a special diet can enjoy snacking. Trovet Hypoallergenic Treats with lamb or Trovet Hypoallergenic Treats with rabbit are ideal for dogs with food intolerance. Trovet Sterilised SHF is a specially formulated, complete maintenance food for cats to meet the changed nutritional needs of neutered/spayed cats. It can be fed to kittens from six months of age and helps maintain a healthy weight after sterilisation.
Diet food for cats
Trovet also offers various types of diet foods for cats, for example to support:
- Bladder crystals / cystitis: Trovet Urinary Struvite ASD dissolves existing struvite stones and reduces recurrence. Trovet Urinary Calm UCD supports stress-related urinary problems by adding green tea extract, milk protein hydrolysate, and tryptophan. It also helps increase urine volume.
- Food intolerance: for cats too, there are various types of hypoallergenic food, including venison (VRD), rabbit (RRD) and horse (HRD).
- Chronic kidney disease: about 30% of older cats develop chronic kidney disease. A kidney diet is the most important pillar of kidney function support. Trovet Renal & Oxalate RID contains a limited amount of protein and less phosphorus to reduce the load on the kidneys. In addition, this kidney diet is high in energy so that cats with reduced appetite need to eat only a smaller amount to still meet their daily energy requirements.
- In addition to the mentioned foods, there is also diet food/supplements to support overweight and diabetes, joints, and digestion.
Snacks
