Advantix

Effectively protect your dog against fleas, ticks, sand flies, and other parasites with Advantix spot-on. This powerful product kills fleas within 24 hours and provides up to four weeks of protection against new infestations. Additionally, Advantix has a repellent effect against ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes, and stable flies,

How Advantix Works

Advantix contains the active ingredients imidacloprid and permethrin. Imidacloprid kills fleas by targeting the nervous system of the parasite, while permethrin has both a repelling and lethal effect on ticks, mosquitoes, sand flies, and stable flies. This significantly reduces the risk of transmitting diseases such as leishmaniasis, ehrlichiosis, and Lyme disease. The repellent effect against mosquitoes supports the prevention of heartworm. Additional deworming with, for example, Milbenin is recommended if you live in or take your dog on holiday to areas where heartworm is endemic. Advantix can be used as part of the treatment for flea allergy dermatitis.

Advantix thus offers a broad spectrum of action and protects your dog against a variety of harmful parasites.

The Benefits of Advantix

  • Fast action: Kills fleas within one day of application. The action against ticks begins three days after application.
  • Broad spectrum: Effective against fleas, ticks, biting lice, sand flies, mosquitoes, and stable flies.
  • Long-lasting protection: Provides up to four weeks of protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, and stable flies, and two to three weeks against sand flies.
  • Water-resistant: Remains effective even if your dog gets wet. However, prolonged intense exposure to water should be avoided. Bathing is recommended before treatment or at least two weeks after applying the pipette.
  • Also for puppies: Advantix can be used on puppies from 7 weeks of age and with a minimum body weight of 1.5 kg.

Applying Advantix to Your Dog

Apply the contents of the pipette to the intact skin between your dog’s shoulder blades. For dogs weighing more than 10 kg, it is advised to divide the solution evenly over four spots along the back, from shoulder blades to the base of the tail.

Advantix is available in packs of 4 and 6 pipettes, tailored to your dog’s weight:

  • 1.5–4 kg: Advantix 40/200
  • 4–10 kg: Advantix 100/500
  • 10–25 kg: Advantix 250/1250
  • 25–40 kg: Advantix 400/2000
  • >40 kg: Advantix 600/3000

Note: Advantix is intended for use in dogs only and must not be used on cats. If you have a cat that lives closely with your dog, it is better to choose a product without permethrin. In that case, consider a Seresto collar (effective against fleas, ticks, and sand flies for seven to eight months) or Frontpro tablets (effective against fleas and ticks for four to five weeks, but not against sand flies).

Always read the package leaflet carefully before use for information on dosage, application, and possible side effects.

Choose the complete protection of Advantix and ensure your dog stays free from annoying and harmful parasites.
