Cat snacks

It's in our nature that we want to spoil our beloved cats occasionally. This can be done with attention or play, but also with tasty snacks! Snacks can also be very useful for training your cat or encouraging her to move more.

Healthy Snacking

Good cat food is perfectly balanced. It contains everything your cat needs in just the right proportions. Snacks should therefore not become too large a part of the daily diet. Otherwise, your cat may risk missing out on nutrients or getting too much. An excess of nutrients often leads to overweight.

Because overweight increases the risk of many conditions such as diabetes, bladder stones, skin problems, and arthritis, you naturally want to prevent that. Snacks should therefore be removed from the daily food portion and should not exceed 10% of the daily energy intake to maintain the balance of nutrients.

Snacking and Playing at the Same Time

For a tasty snack like the Trixie Carpaccio cat snack, your cat will surely be willing to make a little extra effort. Therefore, snacks are very suitable for training your cat or providing her with additional mental challenges. You can hide the snacks in an empty egg carton filled with toilet paper or in a rolled-up towel. For additional physical activity and to stimulate your cat's prey-catching behavior, you can throw the snacks around the room or garden. By placing snacks or regular food in a food ball, your cat has to work for her food. The result is slower eating (and therefore better satiety), more physical activity, and mental challenge. That's hitting three birds with one stone!

If you store the snacks in a special tin, like this cute heart-shaped tin, your cat will quickly learn that something delicious is coming when you pick up the tin, and she will put her best foot forward!

Smart Snacking

A liquid snack, like Add One, is irresistible to cats. Most cats find this snack so delicious that it can be very useful for administering medications! If you have any questions about food or snacks for your cat, please contact us.
