Pimotab 1.25mg 100 tablets
Pimotab is indicated for the treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF) originating from dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) or valvular insufficiency (mitral and/or tricuspid regurgitation).
Administration:
The chewable tablets can be inserted directly into the dog's mouth. Each dose should be given 1 hour before feeding.
Dosage:
Oral administration of the tablets at a daily dose of 0.2 mg to 0.6 mg pimobendan/kg body weight. The preferred daily dose is 0.5 mg pimobendan per kg body weight. The daily dose should be divided into two administrations of 0.25 mg per kg: half a dose in the morning and half a dose about 12 hours later. The maintenance dose should be determined individually and according to the severity of the condition by the treating veterinarian. The recommended dosage should not be exceeded.
